Admiral Grand Hotel

We stayed at the Admiral in June it was so nice we have booked to return in 2020. The hotel was so clean rooms were beautiful. The staff were very professional and courteous. The restaurant had a wonderful selection of foods. It was wonderful to step out of the hotel onto the beach. We honestly can say it was the most relaxing holiday we have ever had a little bit of paradise as my husband put it.

If you are looking for an amazing hotel in a beautiful quiet bay this is the place for you! Cannot fault the hotel in any way. Our limited sea view was wonderful! Great facilities with large pools and right by the beach. We went in May and were very fortunate with the weather. Be aware that Croatia can have a lot of rainfall in this month. No guarantee of sun!

If you are looking for a quiet and relaxing break this is ideal. There are opportunities for cycling, tennis and swimming with trips to Dubrovnik if required. The hotel is a wonderful experience with great staff. It is placed on a shingle beach (shoes required) but also has great swimming pools, sauna etc.Do not go here if you want a noisy and lively holiday !!

We stayed at this hotel for 10 nights in June & we weren't disappointed at all if you want total peace & quiet this is the place to go. The staff were really helpful & so friendly especially Anna & Katatrina who was an absolute gem. The food in the restaurant was delicious & rooms are cleaned on a daily basis. You can book trips at the hotel through reception a must is Montenegro!! We had a lovely time & would definitely go back.

What a beautiful, peaceful hotel. It provided everything we needed for our family holiday (with young teens). Food was excellent and the staff very friendly & easy going. Reception desk answers all your questions about the local area. There's a few cafes / bars / restaurants but not much choice at the moment (this might change with the opening of the new marina next door - think it'll put Slano "on the map"). Would recommend staying half-board.

On arrival our first site was of a very modern quality hotel set in an idyllic location in the Bay of Slano. Checking in was so easy with the very efficient, informative and amiable receptionists. The hotel's reception area and lounges are designed within an Atrium showing some of the approx. 200 rooms over 3 floors. Our room on the 3rd floor - which was accessed via a glass walled lift - was excellent with superb fittings and every amenity you could wish for except for my only two complaints, there are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room and the double bed was 2 singles made up and pushed together. When I inquired at reception if it could be made up into 1 double I was informed that it couldn't because they did not have the required bed sheets and duvet to convert it. The views from our balcony over the bay, with it's extremely clear waters, from early morning to late evening was something to die for with the white walled and terracotta roofs of the houses and villas of Slano village built into the hillside to the right of the hotel and the nearly completed new marina being built to the left of the hotel. The main restaurant was large and grand and opened up onto the terrace with views of the bay. Meals - breakfast and dinner - was buffet style of acceptable quality, very extensive and varied with choices for all pallets although as we have found in most mediterranean countries the hot food is not always hot but there was a good selection and copious amounts of vegetables. We arrived towards the latter part of May and their season does not start until the beginning of June and therefore other described restaurants in the hotel were not open along with evening entertainment which was limited, what was there was mostly acceptable except for the pianist who played out of tune along with many duff notes but what made it worse was that he played it so loudly that he drowned out any conversation you were trying to have in the bar and lounges and in fact drove people away from these areas. We found all the Hotel's staff along with their managers excellent, very attentive, friendly with nothing being too much trouble for them. My wife and I would have no problem in highly recommending this hotel for a very relaxing holiday.

Good value, attentive staff, great location. Bus to dubrovnik outside hotel and takes 30 minutes. Less than five pounds for two people for a one way trip. Worth walking 10 minutes around the bay to the three restaurants clustered together. Miraculous, no no and personasous all excellent value
