Grand Hotel Aminta

Our holiday was switched to this hotel as the one we had booked was closed for building works. How lucky we were as this hotel was much nearer to Sorrento and provided a free hourly shuttle bus into the town. We had a Superior Room with Seaview and Evening sunshine. The room was spacious with all the extras you would expect, and the cleaning staff were fantastic. We opted for half board with an excellent buffet breakfast and a set evening meal, which had plenty of choices and was waiter served. There was live music in the dining room twice a week. There was also a well-stocked bar with courteous staff. With on-site parking for the hire car, the hotel was everything we would have expected it to be for a good holiday

Looking forward to this holiday for 2 years . And got to say very disappointing we had 2 rooms booked as took parents with us . Their room didn’t have a wardrobe or chair in the room the shower in both rooms didn’t have a fixture so we could not shower only by hand held . Tiles were cracked in the rooms . We asked for a sea View room which wasn’t cheap we got half a sea view and half pool which wouldn’t have been so bad if we didn’t have to sit on balcony looking down at the dining room roof !! Staff and bus down to town were very good . Also the food in the restaurant in evening very good . Breakfast if you want continental was fine but the cooked breakfast was disgusting. All in all very disappointing

A great hotel sitting in a prominent position on the hill to the west of Sorrento, with superb views across Sorrento and over the bay to Vesuvius. The pool area, bar and terrace, are fantastic and a good sized pool, which gets deep maybe a tad too soon, but has a nice little sitting area at the pool entrance. The Dining room is large and bright, but I feel they miss a trick with the windows not opening out to the terrace. The bedroom were in was on the 4th floor, and had a spectacular view across Sorrento and the terrace and pool area, although the room layout was a bit strange as you had to step up to see out the window as it was a dormer style window. However as we were not spending much time in the bedroom, it was only a minor point. The reception and staff were fantastic as were the spa therapists, which offered a good range of options. The free shuttle service to and from town was invaluable and very reliable. Only thing missing was perhaps a "happy hour" or drink offers to encourage people to spend more time at the bar before they headed out, as drinks were expensive.

Lovely relaxing hotel set in the hills overlooking the Bay of Naples Quite location, great shuttle service to Sorrento town , ten minutes or walk down path opposite hotel (15 minutes) Nice size rooms and hotel very trendy in decor Staff friendly and helpful, especially the pool man for towels and sun beds, pool area sheltered and nice. Also very quite Would recommend

Loved our stay at Grand Hotel Aminta which is situated just outside of Sorrento in the mountains with stunning views of the Bay of Naples . All of the staff were so helpful and friendly , the rooms were very clean , cool and nice big bed . Strongly recommend you go half board as the extra cost is minimal and even if you only have one meal you will save money , there was a good choice of meals . You can also eat on the terrace from the A la carte menu which was superb . There is a regular courtesy bus that runs into Sorrento and runs on time . We spent three days around the hotel , enjoying the pool , bar and had some lovely lunches on the terrace .

Amazing staff. Top notch cleanliness. Suitable for mature holiday makers. Very comfortable and beautifully decorated with gorgeous views. The shuttle into town is convenient. The pool was clean and warm.

Nice hotel, the half board option was excellent value and the staff were brilliant. it was a really nice surprise to be upgraded to a room with sea view and balcony, the sunsets were lovely. Shuttle buses to town were punctual.
