Iberostar Herceg Novi

The hotel was really lovely, clean and comfortable rooms. The only issue we had was the steps an hills! Unfortunately we did not realise it would be like this and it was quite an issue for my husband. One of the animation staff, Can, was amazing he went and got the buggy to drive my husband up to our block when we had been at the show down at the stage, situated at the beach, which helped loads. The animation team were great, tried to involve everyone and very kind and helpful. The food was ok but could have been warmer or provided a microwave to enable you to heat it up.

We had a fortnight at this hotel in early July and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a great room, looking across the bay; the catering was lovely and varied; and the facilities were great. Staff were friendly and helpful - especially the entertainment team. Our two girls were in the kids club most days and had a ball - special mention to Ulya and Alina for their enthusiasm and hard work.

Just returned from a lovely week in beautiful Montenegro staying at this hotel. The staff from beginning to end were all very polite and helpful. The food was lovely if not a bit repetitive but to be expected in an all inclusive basis. We did take the water taxi (about every hour and 10 euros pp return) to the town of Hercig Novi, a ten minute journey across the bay and had a couple of meals in local restaurants just for a change. Only concern was the fact that the hotel is set on a slope and there are numerous steps to consider to access the restaurant and the pool and beach area. We were in the furthest away block of rooms so we had to make sure that we had everything we needed for the day, there was no quick nipping back to the room! The room, family suite, was extremely comfortable, excellent air conditioning and superb bathroom with choice of walk in shower or bath. The cleanliness was top notch too! All in all a fantastic holiday and we were not ready to return home after a week! Next time we will ask for a room in a block neare the amenities and not so high up.

Hotel was good. Not the best location for walking around as there isn't a safe walking path into the main town if you have children or mobility issues. Had to take the taxi boat or a taxi into the main town. Food was ok but not always hot. Staff we're great, very polite and helpful. Our 6 year old son loved the attention he got. Needs some updating around the pool area as alot of broken tiles.

Great family holiday for my wife’s 60th birthday. All needs catered for. Our Daughter in Law has a gluten issue but this proved to be no problem as her food was prepared by the head chef every meal time, what a great service!!!!!

A truly amazing holiday the hotel was great and provided all that was needed for a wonderful holiday. There was plenty of choice in the restaurant and it was of good quality.The pool area was very good there was also 2 beach areas and a subbed area at the beach bar.One of the best things about this hotel was no need to put towels on beds because there was ample.I would definitely recommend this hotel but you have to be able to climb steps !!

Only way to the one buffet restaurant was by 48 uneven steps up and down. Very hilly and not suitable for older people and anyone with babies in buggies. Many people struggling with the many steps around hotel and to beach bar and entertainment. Nothing near hotel and you can get a boat across bay to village.

An excellent hotel which seems to be receiving a full refurbishment so everything is modern and new. The staff were the most friendly and helpful of any hotel I have visited - especially "Oggi" in the restaurant. Food is of good quality but bear in mind that they are catering for many nationalities. Work was still on-going but wasn't too much of a problem. As the hotel facilities are split over different levels, expect to have to use a lot of steps and slopes. There is only one small shop and restaurant nearby so you will need transport to get to Herceg Novi. I would recommend booking as all-inclusive but you can upgrade at the hotel. You do have to pay extra for the safe and there are no tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The scenery is amazing so try and get a room with a sea view.
