Dom Jose Beach Hotel

Spent 10 nights here.early June. So glad I booked sea view with balcony. Room 314 .overlooked pool and out to sea. Other rooms at front of hotel /reception not good. Went bed/breakfast which suited us fine as plenty of resteraunts close by. Vilamoura 25 mins easy walk lovely during the day gets a bit wild in eve. Drinks in hotel a bit pricey so most people used beach bar across the walkway .much cheaper..always clean rooms.

This hotel was virtually perfect. The staff were friendly and helpful , the views were magnificent, the food was excellent and the room was comfortable and clean. there was next to no noise, entertainment provided...if you wanted it and the service overall was great.

Hotel is right on the sea front, it is spacious and very impressive when you arrive. The room was a little small but overlooking the sea, when the balcony door was shut the sea noise was completely shut out. Staff were always available to help and quick to clear up in the dining area. There were 4 UK television channels but we tended only to watch the news. We will almost certainly return in the future.

Great sea front location. Book a sea view room for wonderful views. Excellent service from friendly, helpful, and cheery staff. Excellent selection of well prepared food. Room cleaned every day. Great shower pressure.

We have just returned from a week at the Dom Jose hotel in Quarteira. and for the first time in many years I didn't want to go home. it's not a large hotel but very welcoming and in a superb position virtually on the beach. The staff are really friendly and helpful and the hotel is spotlessly clean. The rooms are fairly small but comfortable with a lovely sea view to wake up to every morning with a cup of tea on the balcony. Breakfast is very good with something for everyone and again the restaurant staff are wonderful.We did eat an evening meal on the first night and it was very nice but the rest of the holiday was bed and breakfast. We did stay here 5 years ago and I have to say that they have improved the hotel tremendously. You couldn't wish for better for location and accommodation that the Dom Jose. Highly recommended. Absolutely fantastic holiday could have stayed there for the whole summer 10 metres to the beach spent everyday there 10 euros gets 2sunbeds with parasol if you stay at the hotel great value, hotel is fantastic in every way, do not be put off walking down from your coach drop off point as once you step inside it is superb best 3 star hotel in Portugal leaves most of the 4 star hotels we have stayed in miles behind ☺☺☺

We have stayed at the Dom Jose several times, the excellent location is what keeps us coming back. The Hotel is comfortable and clean, the rooms are air conditioned and recently had a fridge & kettle added, great addtions. We normally go for the Bed & Breakfast option, as there are some great places to eat on the seafront.

Hotel is on the beach front, well its the only hotel there!!! rooms are small, air con does not work in the room, Rooms not cleaned properly at all, i had to dispose of many staff myself. We upgraded to sea view, yes very well worth it. Pool area okay, we found local youths using the pool without management knowledge, we reported this but staff turned a blind eye. Hotel food very good quality and choice. Big bug bear was the beech beds, 12 euros for a beach bed but sitting at the back, all front beds are reserved even though these beds belong to the hotel, in fact all these beds belong to the hotel so should be free in my view but they are not and charge 12 euros a day, bit of a cheek. Overall hotel can do a lot better if it employed more staff, bar shuts at midnight, use to stay open but no staff to run it. Great shame!!!

Dom Jose is bright, clean and welcoming. A very modern design and beautiful sea views (if you pay a little extra which is definitely worth doing!). The staff are hard-working, efficient and polite. The pool is a peaceful place and very clean. The beach is metres away and for €12 you can book loungers in a great spot. There is a lovely promenade between the hotel and beach which is filled with cafes and shops. Many people gather on the rocks to watch the sunset. Highly recommend.

We stayed for seven nights. The hotel is spotless and well maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful. We only had breakfast in the hotel restaurant and found it to be good quality. The gym facility is well equipped but small. We had a couples massage which I found relaxing but my wife's was a bit too hard for her taste. The bar served the usual options for drink and a reasonable selection of snacks. The resort itself was fairly quiet but that suited us-we did get the bus to Albufeira but after an hour we'd had enough and got a taxi back. We walked to Vilamoira along the seafront: we found it busy and expensive but worth a visit if only to see the boats in the marina. Can't say enough to relate just how much we enjoyed our stay here.
