Hotel Cap Negret

Overall rating would have been a 5 star rating, but was disappointed with the check-in issue that occurred after having been greeted by the lovely receptionist (Marieve), who was ever so attentive, felt that it was spoilt a little with other staff we had dealings with thereafter at reception in regards to checking into our room. After arriving at hotel lunch-time there, we were told that apparently check-in would not be until 4pm, but we didn't actually get our room till later on in the evening, kind of spoilt the first day of the holiday. As stated everything else about the hotel was spot on, met some lovely people while out there.

Very nice hotel. We were there 23rd July for 11 nights. Lots of Spanish go to this hotel. Great location. Breakfast was great. So much choice!! Evening meals, this was very very busy. We stayed B&B, pleased we didn't book half board. Wouldn't have wanted to contend with this cattle market scenario each evening. 10 minute walk to promenade. You can use the hotel courtesy bus but you need to add your name to list early in the morning. Train station is very handy. We went to Calpe but it is a long walk down the hill to sea front. Get a taxi back up the hill. Nice little bar at Calpe station to cool down with an ice cold drink. Altea old town is a must. Italian restaurant over the road to hotel is beautiful. Staff are very friendly too. Totally recommend. Our room wasn't cleaned properly. Bathroom was not cleaned properly during our stay. I had to remove bedding and put it on the floor for it to be changed. Looking back I should have reported this at reception but didn't until checking out. This hotel could be worthy of excellent rating but cleaning let this down.

We very much enjoyed our holiday overall but what made our stay special was the friendly and helpful staff from reception to beach bar. Especially helpful to me when I injured my hip.the only downside was the extreme noise on one occasion from. Private party in the grounds under our balcony

Very nice hotel, Mixed natioanlity. Room was clean and pracrtical for our short break. Entertainment in the hotel at night. On the outskirts of Altea at Cap Negret and right beside the beach. The beach though, all along the coast seems to be very much made of pebbles. Tram stop a shortish walk away for trips up the coast. we really enjoyed our stay there and would recomend this hotel to anyone thinking of a holiday in that area without the bustle of Benidorm.

Just outside civilisation, served well by walk/cycleways and good tram service.Hotel was well appointed and clean,great staff and good entertainment.Food was good and varied but on the cold side.Restaurant was busy & not easy to get a seat.Pool dirty

A good clean modern hotel with great food and not too far from the main promenade. The staff were friendly and helpful, the beach not very good due to being very pebbly , but all in all a very pleasant stay.

Friendly courteous staff, in the restaurant, bar and reception areas. Reasonable bar prices. Enthusiastic animation team. Good facilities to store our bikes. Lovely situation facing on to the narrow beach and great pool views out to sea and up and down the coast. Medium sized hotel which didn't feel too big and impersonal. Good variety of food served at the buffet BUT !!! and it is a big but - the hot food was very rarely hot. Cold plates for hot food and innefective lamps over the hot food areas supposed I presume, to keep the food hot but did not. Lots of food on the show cooking area cooked too far in advance so it was cold or chewy. I took to microwaving my dinner as it was the only way to enjoy it. Why doesn't the management sort this as lots of people have complained in their reviews before so they must know about it. Everybody was commenting on this when I was there. Such a shame because in every other way the hotel has so much to offer and the staff are great, clearly working very hard. Some of the rooms face onto the carpark and are near the busy road. This would bother some people but we didn't spend much time in the room or on the balcony. If you want to ensure you get a quieter sea view room you will need to pay extra. We didn't think it was worth paying extra as our standard room was big with fridge, kettle etc and we were out cycling a lot anyway.

Really nice hotel, lovely rooms comfy beds. The food was good, a wide choice though not always very warm. The evening meal doesn't start till 7.30 and there was always a queue outside the doors, I think they could do with opening a little earlier. Apart from that had a Fab week.

Excellent hotel very friendly staff ideal for couples and the more older holiday maker,it is a good ten minutes walk in to altea there are plenty of nice restaurants and bars and a good selection of shops on route definitely worth a visit

The hotel was spotlessly clean and very well maintained its modern and contemporary. Great choice of food for adults and children. The Hotel consisted predominantly of Spanish families which wasn’t a problem at all for myself but may not be what allot of UK customers may like. Altea is a lovely little resort this hotel sits just outside an easy 10 minute walk away. Lovely pool and the beach easily accessible. The only poor and negative experience was the 3.5hr transfer from the airport because most people on the coach were going to Benidorm so they are all dropped of first and then return transfer you are picked up first and then pick all other customers in Benidorm Overall theJet2 holiday was excellent and I would definitely recommend the hotel to other people
