Estoi

Estoi holidays

Pops of colourful flowers dot around the quaint cobbled streets. Set in the foothills of the Serra do Caldeirão, this gorgeous town is near the coast, and has a few knockout landmarks. Keep your map in one hand and camera in the other throughout your Estoi holiday – you’re in for some incredible discoveries around each corner.

The main attractions

The biggest standout feature is the magnificent Palace of Estoi, with its dark pink exterior and neoclassical design. Make sure you have a wander around the lush gardens while you’re there, too. Meanwhile, the Milreu Roman ruins show off an old agricultural settlement with some intricate mosaics.

Portuguese perfection

About 25 minutes from Faro and a short trip from Ria Formosa Natural Park, you’ll find lots of pretty sights around you on your Estoi holiday. Cycle around the local area, shop in the fruit and veg markets and check out the main square. As for meals, traditional Portuguese cuisine is a must-try.
