Suites del Mar by Melia

Had a lovely three nights in the Spa Porta Maris hotel. Great suite two balconies and excellent facilities. Breakfast with good choices and first class meals. Very good location for walking into Alicante quiet but close enough to walk into the main activities in Alicante

We spent 4 nights here in June and found the staff really friendly and helpful., breakfast was good with various hot and cold options. It is very central to everything, however I would not class this as a 4 star. The hotel needs a revamp, however if you’re there to discover the beautiful city of Alicante, as we were then this is an ideal place to bed down.

Fantastic hotel,in great location,with brilliant staff. Close to Marina and city centre. Rooms were very well equipped,lovely sea view❤️ Breakfast was very good,lots of choice. Food in Bistro,brilliant choice on menu, Bar staff very attentive Taxis available outside hotel Buses close by Good tram system All in all fantastic hotel❤️

Stayed in this hotel a number of times now, its just in such a good spot, beach 200yds, old quarter at the road, marina and restaurants acroiss the road. Its all just there. A tip, alwasys up grade to the superior sea viw rooms, the view is worth it and they are twice the size of the marina size ones

My wife and I have just enjoyed 5 nights b&b in this hotel. In a fabulous location on the marina and close to all the shopping and sights, it was an excellent choice. Breakfast was wonderful both in quality and experience, looking over the ocean with the best scrambled eggs I've tasted. We did book a Premium Room but found our room a little unpleasant due to the last person obviously being a smoker. The room was also in need of some dusting. So, after asking for a change in room we eventually took the option of one of the superb junior suites on the 5th floor at reduced rate because of some work being carried out on the other side of our floor. We didn't regret in one bit. I have to say the suite is a wonderful experience and highly recommended. Even though we did have an issue with the whirlpool bath not working for the time we were in there, it only took the lightest shine off our holiday. Because of this problem the manager, at checkout, was kind enough to further reduce the room price for us. We would highly recommended this hotel!

Lovely hotel, good location, reception staff were very good and helpful and smiling, room was clean and a good size for 2 of us. mini bar and safe available. nice selection in the restaurant, Only two negatives, the room walls are thin so you hear all around you, and the bar staff always looked miserable.

just spent 4 day city break in this hotel, bit confusing to find as we did not purchase transfers, but buses and trams in this city are so simple to use, and we enjoyed traveling as a local. The hotel was very clean, spacious, breakfast room was a joy, overlooking the beach and sea. well located for dining, shopping and walking around this beautiful city, I will use this hotel again

Great hotel on Alicante's marina with the beach only 2 minutes walk away and only a short stroll to the shops and restaurants it's the ideal location to be in Alicante. The premium room was a good size with a huge bed, a mini bar and tea and coffe facilities although I would had liked a bigger balcony (terrace) but the sea view was nice. Breakfast held in the dining room again with sea views was fantastic.
