Hotel El Paso - PortAventura World

Will be going for the 3rd time in August. Love it there with all inclusive. Great value with park tickets included. Managed to get a free child place this time. Can’t fault Jet2. Fab service and nothing too trouble!

Went with our 2 year old daughter, we were all exclusive. Food was the same most days/nights and was very disappointing. Got charged twice for ice cream at the pool for ice cream as the girl said it wasn’t included in all exclusive!! Some guest even got a taxi to McDonald’s and back as the kids selection of food was rubbish. Child entertainment during the day consisted of to girls sitting in the lobby playing Luda with each other while 3 kids were colouring in! And the mini disco didn’t start till 9 which time our daughter was ready for bed. Parks were great apart from some of it being closed I’m guessing this was due to it being the start of the season.

So we have been in 2015 and 2017, and a short break this September. The rooms are basic but comfortable. This time we stayed in the main building which was very noisy at night due to the kids stage being not far away. If it had been earlier in the season we would have been in the theme park at night, however with it being out of season the park shut at 7pm so we were in the hotel.The pool as always was amazing, and a good selection of food and drink available all day. When we have been before there has been a small wasp problem but they seem to have new bins so have sorted the problem. The staff always go above and beyond, they can't do enough for you. We always go back, it's not perfect but it's lovely.

A decent hotel but never a 4 star,good food and drink choice but basic rooms and sheets only changed once in 7 days!!4 bars but only open one at a time and not letting keep bands on on day departure was very poor as our coach didnt pick up until 1730 local time and check out was 11am

Only criticism I have is the rooms are 2 small, I traveled with my husband and 2 teenage children(one boy and one girl) and the room had 2 double beds next to each other so basically 4 people in a line! The picture online showed bunk beds which would have worked but this was very awkward!! Food was lovely and lots of choice, pool area very clean and well supervised with plenty of sun beds so no sun bed Olympics every morning as you get in lots of hotels!! Also the free access to the theme parks which you could get free food at was fabulous and saved lots of money and was only a 10 minute walk away!!

Accomadation took 2 days to sort out. The pool was filthy with black specs,used plasters etc floating in the water and the drains were choked with god knows what. Mould all round the edge of the pool and burst sun loungers everywhere. The food was terrible on the all inclusive and the 1 bar that was open had huge queues. No entertainment for adults or teens at night and not much during the day either. PortAventura park is a short stroll up the hill or you can wait for the little train if you feel lazy. I was so disappointed with this hotel, if i could give it a minus i would. If it's rated higher by others they must have very low expectations.

I Took my Son, his wife, his children, my daughter and her friend for a week to El Paso hotel everyone was very happy with the hotel, the service and the facilities that were on offer. We enjoyed the holiday from start to finish

El Paso is perfect if you have children. All inclusive is the way to go. The children can get what they want when they want it. Free entry into Portaventura theme park is 3 minutes walk. Half price entry to the water park is good value. A taxi to the beach for just 10 euros , and it`s a lovely gentle beach. We have been every year since 2010.

What a great hotel and friendly staff. Food was to a good standard,all be it a bit samey. Pool lifeguards are very whistle happy, felt like we were at an 80's acid house party st times. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely return.

Fantastic hotel. Very clean, great food, lovely staff. Gorgeous pool. Excellent location. We have stayed in this hotel twice, we will definitely return. Rooms are nice, just not much space to hang clothes. Very pretty resort. I love it!

We do not know how this hotel can be faulted as we stayed there with Daughter and two Grand Children and found the rooms and facilities exactly as described very good. The All Inclusive spread of meals was excellent something suitable for any pallet. The swimming pool was very good. The hotel was right beside a stop for a childrens road train to catch for the park, however as the last stop it was sometimes full. Nethertheless the walk was only a few hundred yards to both Ferrari Land and Theme Park. We will definitely return to this location without hesitation.

Overall a good hotel but lacks a lot of expected 4star qualities. Well located for the theme park and the very hard working activity staff were excellent - they did well with the kids evening shows too. Half an hour of professional entertainment for all followed. Rooms were as expected on the small side. Clothes storage was sufficient for a few days but as a family of three staying for 14 we did struggle. The en suite bathroom was covered in black mould and we had to remove it from the soap dispenser before we could use it. Water was hot and plentiful however the 3 large and 3 small towels issued were poor quality and, although removed for washing, were not always replaced! Fortunately a visit to reception resolved this. We understand that housekeeping is contracted out and this is their final year!!! The beds were clean, mattresses of good quality and very comfortable. Top marks there. Food was plentiful and of a good quality - staff worked hard to keep on top of sitting families, changing tablecloths and resetting tables. I wonder how many guests appreciated the their work, we certainly did. Well done to all dining staff. Coffee was 'on tap' in restaurants and bar areas but, unfortunately, the machines were very slow and, especially at breakfast, queues soon built up. We quickly learned to get the coffee in before going to the food hotplates! The pool area was well laid out with a good snack bar which opened at 10am with sandwiches availabke and hot food served from noon. A further small bar had water and coffee machines and ice cream which, thankfully was covered by the all inclusive wristbandand as our Grandson lived it! Crisps and chocolates could also be purchased here. The sun beds (cleaned by wet bodies and towels on top were very dirty underneath) and the same cigarette ends visible on our first day, also fruit dropping from overhanging trees, were never raked in during our stay! Yes, overall a good hotel but like a school report "could do better".

Stayed for 7 days (two families of 8) in May. Hotel facilities are ok - good 4 star standard. FOOD - Food is varied buffet style but the main restaurant gets very busy at peak times and there is normally a long queue at the main food counter. Its waiter service for drinks but it was very hard to get a waiters attention most nights. For some reason they always have problems with the hot drinks machine at breakfast time. Despite having at least 6 machines you could guarantee half of them weren't working each morning and staff didn't seem interested in fixing them. The Coyote Mexican is also nice but seemed to be understaffed. Bar staff always seemed happy to help and good range of drinks available. Pool and surrounding area was nice. ROOM - Rooms are basic but clean. Getting enough towels and pillows seemed to be an issue most days even having called housekeeping for replacements (they'd take the used ones away but not replace them! On our first night they said it will have to wait till tomorrow as there is only one house keeper on duty, which is a problem with 4 people and only 2 towels!. We ended up just popping down the corridor and help ourselves in the cupboard! Some problems - BEWARE ALL INCLUSIVE finished at checkout (10 or 11am - I can't recall exactly). Technically if you've an evening flight its tough you've no drinks or food (other than the snack bar) which wasn't great. Not really a good deal when you'd paid for 7 days all inclusive but only get 6 and a half! In practice no one checked so we ate in the restaurants all day, but if they do check you may get hungry! We stayed all inclusive and as part of this we had 7 tickets for eating lunch in the park. Each ticket is valid for a particular day. Problem was we arrived at 9pm at night (when the park was shut) on our first day and guess what? our 1st food ticket was dated for that day! only 6 tickets left for the 7 lunch times we were there. We asked to have the first days ticket re-dated but were told by the front desk staff and the jet 2 rep that it was 'impossible'. We weren't asking for anything extra just a ticket for lunch in the park for each of the 7 lunch times we were there. You'd have thought we were asking for the world. Eventually after speaking to three reception staff, the jet 2 rep and the jet 2 online team, we managed to speak to a manager who simply wrote a new date on each ticket and stamped it.
